          Hi Stu
On 6 Island they tend to follow the wind. The bottom bank furthest from the car park has been a consistent area (around pegs 9-14?) Also the channel (17/18?). If the winds blowing into the car park, the 2 pegs there can be awesome. There’s a sunken island at around 13M on peg 25 which holds lots of fish. Not fished Oak, but if Yew is anything to go by then it the middle pegs that dominant irrespective of wind. Bait wise coshida cat meat and corn at 5/6M or Pellet shallow. There’s some right big munters in there so tackle up accordingly. Talk to John in the shop or any of the regulars down there, Ive found them very helpful and willing to talk. Let me know how you get on. Tighlines

We are down this weekend, cant wait! Beastie, 6 islands and Elm for us.

i find 6 islands the hardest of all the lakes there! not because its lacking fish just find it tough to crack! i had 180lb on meat last year, however luncheon meat has now been banned! 180lb sounds ludicrous after mentioning its tough to crack! however…. i did draw peg 26, the last peg right in front of the car park, it has been mentioned below, but its in 26 the sunken island not 25, peg 25 has an island above the water!it would be expander over micros or 4mm’s for me with luncheon meat being banned. However we have had success big potting in maggots or casters tight in the edge. Pegs id choose, 3,4,26,25,20,21 in the channel 17 and 18 something like that, the corners like 9 and 10 i think they are. As mentioned the big bay can fish if the wind is right and can produce to pellet shallow.

never fished Oak, fished Elm a lot and as mentioned they do definitely contain lumps! middle pegs dominate i’d agree with that, although the car park corners can chuck up weights. I always fish caster, theres no bit to do your head in, and have always caught top 2 and 2 and up the side.

There are only 25 pegs on 6 Islands my apologies!

135lb for me on beastie 23, all F1’s and some tench on caster right in the side. 160lb won off peg 14, my old man, caster shallow.

180lb on 6 Islands peg 4, caster shallow in the right hand edge and some lumps down the edge on corn, carp and F1’s.

185lb on elm, mainly barbel on caster.
