        REPORT

MOLANDS It has fished quite hard on Molands this week with the F1’s really switching off at the moment. The better catches have been made up of carp with fish to double figures coming to bomb and pellet or bread and pellet feeder fished up to the island. The F1’s that are being caught are coming to maggot or pellet fished on the deck at 13 metres. Best pegs have been 6 – 12, 15, 23, 27 – 31, 42 – 46 and 58 – 60.

GEARYS The fishing picked up on Gearys over the weekend with match weights to 100lb caught although it still has been a bit patchy. The top tactics have been to feed pellets and fish the bomb or pellet waggler over the top. Goods nets of skimmers are still coming to pole fished caster or expander pellet. Top pegs are 7 – 11, 16, 18 – 20, 31 and 36.

LITTLE GEARYS Pleasure anglers are reporting nets to around 80lb fishing maggot, pellet or caster close in down the margins for F1’s to 4lb and the odd carp to 8lb. Shallow pellet on the long pole is still accounting for decent nets of F1’s. Best pegs are 1, 7, 9, 16, 21 and 24 – 30.

GRATUITIES This pool is still not in the best form but plenty of crucians being caught by fishing lighter lines with caster or expander pellet. The carp are coming to a small pellet feeder fished to the island with fish to 8lb being caught in nets to 30lb+.

ANNIVERSARIES Consistent sport to be had from all around the pool with F1’s providing the bulk of the action with the odd carp and tench as bonus fish. Pole fished pellet either banded 4mm or expander fished over micros or ground bait was the top tactic and accounted for nets to 50lb+. Best pegs are 2, 6, 12, 14, 21 and 23.

SIBLINGS A The better of the two new pools this week with carp showing around the pool and nets to 60lb+ have been caught. Long pole fished tight up to the island has been best with pellet, worm or maggot on the hook. Best pegs are 1, 5, 10, 17, 19 and 21.

SIBLINGS B Lots of F1’s in the 8oz – 1½lb range being caught from most pegs with nets to 50lb caught this week. The pegs at the end of point are best where long pole on a small feeder fished to the far bank with pellet or maggot on the hook has been working well.
