The Whisker is more of a silvers pole than a commercial carp pole.
Depends obviously on how big the carp are in the commercials you fish.

They usually average around 3 to 4 lb but a few venues do go up to low doubles

My advice would be to go to a good pole alley and give them a waggle , all the poles mentioned are new ranges so you would need to have a look at them

If it was me I would rule out the whisker for doubles, I am sure it will handle them if you take care but my understanding from talking to users is that its not designed for this heavy duty work.

They feel good in the pole alley it’s how they perform on the bank that matters

The MAP is a great pole but its all down to your own personal choice.

Go with what you feel comfortable with rather than just the trend.

spares are worth considering, what top kits package and do you fish @ 13, 14, 15 or 16 meters?

the MAP top kits are a little longer than most which is great if your faced with a slightly deeper peg etc.

                      hope this helps buddy
