        REPORT

MOLANDS The mild weather has helped improve the fishing with carp and F1’s showing all around the pool to a variety of tactics. Straight lead with pellet or bread is working well for carp and the F1’s are responding well to pellet feeder or maggot feeder fished three quarters way across to the island. Best pegs have been 2 – 10, 15, 19, 23 – 27, 33, 43 – 46 and 56 – 60.

GEARYS Carp anglers fishing boilies out to the middle stumps from pegs 31 – 36 have caught plenty of fish to 18lb. On the matches, nets of skimmers to 40lb have been caught on pole and maggot/pellet. Straight lead and bread or banded 8mm pellet have accounted for a few carp as well.

LITTLE GEARYS In good form this week with nets to 80lb and decent back up weights caught around the pool. Pole and pellet is the top tactic with F1’s to 4lb coming to this and they are still being caught shallow. Waggler with maggot or pellet is also accounting for some good catches. Top pegs are 1, 7 – 15, 21 and 24 – 27.

GRATUITIES Carp have been showing on the end pegs with fish to 10lb coming to corn or maggot fished close into the margins. A small pellet feeder with punched bread or dead reds is also accounting for a few fish along the straight banks.

ANNIVERSARIES Still very patchy with the F1’s showing on a few pegs and if you are on them you can get plenty of bites. Pole and pellet or maggot is the top tactic with pegs 1, 2, 6, 13 – 15 and 23 the most consistent.

SIBLINGS A Still a little patchy but nets to 30lb of carp, F1’s skimmers and the odd tench are being caught on pole and pellet or corn.

SIBLINGS B There have been plenty of fish being caught, particularly on the point pegs from 5 – 10 with F1’s and carp producing the bulk of the action. Pole and pellet/ maggot are both working well.
