FISHING REPORT – WEEK ENDING 13/12/15

Last week 50 rods caught 198 fish for an average of just under 4 per rod.

The weather was very changeable last week with high winds and rain at times and the fishing followed that trend with the boats fishing better one day then the bank the next. The best approach is to get a floating line or intermediate with the fish high up in the water with Damsel, Cats Whisker and, Bloodworm the best patterns.

The biggest fish of the week was a 7lb rainbow caught by fishery stalwart Harold Lewis of Knowle who was fishing from a boat on the Cocks Close pool and it was the best of a seven fish catch taken on a Bloodworm pattern. Paul Fleeman of Redditch fished from a boat on Cocks Close and caught and released ten fish to 6lb which again fell to a small Bloodworm pattern fished on a floating line. Alex Kerr of Nuneaton fished from the bank of Cocks Close and caught a total of ten fish to 4lb 2oz which fell to an Apps Bloodworm pattern. David East of Coventry had a 5lb rainbow fishing from a boat on the Park Meadow pool and this fell to a Cats Whisker fished on an intermediate line.
