        REPORT

MOLANDS Molands has been in good form over the past week with carp to double figures and F1’s to 6lb making up the bulk of the catches. The top tactics have been bomb with punched bread or pellet, waggler and pellet and the maggot feeder. The carp are being caught tight against the island and the best fish this week was a 21lb 10oz mirror. F1’s are being caught from half way across or just down the far shelf. Top pegs have been 2, 8, 12, 15, 23 – 31, 43 – 48 and 56 – 60.

GEARYS In great form on some areas with nets of carp to over 100lb reported along with some excellent bags of skimmers and silvers to over 40lb. Top tactics for carp are lead and pellet or punched bread but the method fished out to the middle stumps has also worked. The skimmers are coming to caster, maggot or expander pellet fished over ground bait. Top pegs are from 9 – 13, 17, 27, 31, 36 and 41.

LITTLE GEARYS Little Gearys has been a little up and down over the last week but weights to nearly 50lb were caught at the weekend and generally fished better all round. Pole and pellet at 6 – 10 metres, maggot feeder and punched bread on the waggler have all accounted for a few fish. Top pegs have been 7 – 13, 21, 25 and 27 – 30.

GRATUITIES The corner pegs 1, 8, 9, 15 and 16 are the best at the moment with carp, tench, crucians and some big perch showing on these at the moment. Caster, maggot or expander pellet fished down the margins is the best tactic. A waggler with punched bread is catching a few carp along the straights.

SIBLINGS B The most consistent of the two Siblings pools with F1’s, carp, small tench and crucians being caught on most pegs. Pole fished pellet or maggot is the best approach but a small pellet feeder is also worth a go fished tight up to the far bank.

SIBLINGS A Patchy with carp and F1’s tending to show on a few pegs with 1 – 5, 9, 19 and 21 the pick of the pegs at the moment. Maggot over micros is the top tactic.

ANNIVERSARIES It has been tough on Anniversaries this week, pockets of F1’s and roach are providing some sport with pole fishing maggot or soft pellet the best approach.
