TF_Double BlankBought my Z12 about 4 years ago this month, think only about 50 or so had been sold when I got mine.
At the time they, and BROWNING/ZEBCO were the “Dogs whatsits” they could do no wrong. Great product well in front of others at the time. Good rep out in the field managing it hands on.
Spares coverage was also excellent, broke a section or tow through my own handling I might add, but got the replacements within a week, how good was that?
Had Browning poles from the beginning and always been more than pleased.
So where are they now? Ring for extras or spares through my local shop, you will be lucky to find the one-man at his desk.
Even if you are fortunate enough to get hold of him it is doubtful that you will get what you want or it will arrive piecemeal, a bit here a bit here.
Is it just a victim of cut backs, or has the company bitten off more than it can chew?
Not sure, but they need to get back on track….hant be buying another until they do…..

AnonymousBrowning after sales service on poles was always very poor – I vowed never to have another one.
Sounds like the bad old days might be back -

TF_adi fishermanParticipantI’ve not had any problem getting spares. Probably down to a particular retailer. Browning have a live web ordering system so you can see what is in stock at any time or an expected delivery date.

TF_Double BlankThanks for the info Adi, my retailer has been OK and locally has done reasonable trade wit them.
However there are 3 shops locally struggling with them over the past few months so can only judge through recent experience. As I mentioned they had been excellent up to October ‘ish last year, so not sure what is happening.
I will check out the web site. cheers

TF_Double BlankYes I had a look at the site, it tells you nothing, gives an e-mail link but no good if no one is at the other end
Just a point my buddy ordered a section for his current pole, he was quoted “End of March at the earliest” !!!
What’s that all about?
Come on Browning don’t spoil the brand…….PLEASE

TF_Johnfish1In the past couple of weeks managed to break No4 and No3 on my Z12 went into local tackle shop Banks & Burr Rugby they ordered the sections received within 4 days.
I was that confident of turnaround paid for sections upfront first class service.
My experience cannot fault, sometimes the poor old manufacturer gets it in the neck when maybe the issues lie elsewhere ‘unpaid invoices’ as in my trade. -

TF_Double BlankHi John…. interesting that, I know they had a few bad experiences with some retailers and went to proforma invoicing (pay up front) but to have same issue in our 3 in-town main outlets seems a bit odd. Probably more about their cash flows than anything else.
I had no issues whatsoever with them (Browning) up to mid 2015. You would expect some issues over 20 years of brand loyalty. For that reason I cannot understand their reduced quality of service now?
As I mentioned my order was for several top sets, of 6 pieces ordered got 3….. and no resolution in sight…
