        REPORT

MOLANDS Frozen for most of the week and anglers broke the ice to fish up until the weekend when the thaw set in. Weights to 40lb were caught through the ice with pole and pellet or maggot the best approach. At the weekend good weights were caught with nets to 90lb, although it was very patchy. Waggler and pellet or maggot feeder are the best tactics with carp to double figures coming to the waggler and big F1’s to 5lb+ to the feeder. Best pegs 2, 8, 15, 29, 43 – 47 and 56 – 60.

GEARYS Pleasure anglers fished after the ice disappeared and a few carp were caught with lead and pellet or punched bread fished out to the middle stumps catching fish to 14lb.

LITTLE GEARYS Weights to 40lb were caught through the ice with long pole and pellet or maggot working best. Like Molands, the thaw saw the maggot feeder start to work again catching F1’s to 4lb. Best pegs are on the far bank from 7 – 15.

ANNIVERSARIES There are plenty of fish around pegs 1 and 2 at the moment with F1’s, small carp and roach all showing to the long pole and pellet fished to the far side. A stocking of ide went in on Tuesday.

FIRST BAY/REEDY BAY/CRESCENT/ALDER These small pools have been really good for those who want to get plenty of bites with small carp, F1’s, tench and crucians caught on float fished pellet, maggot and corn.
