        REPORT

MOLANDS Good weights were caught in matches last week with nets to 117lb but on the whole it has been a little patchy on Molands. The F1’s have slowed down but the carp have been the main species going and fish to 15lb have been caught in matches this week. Pellet waggler or bomb and pellet to the island are the top tactics. Pole fished pellet or caster is best for F1’s with the fish feeding better at 10 – 14.5 metres at the moment. Best pegs are 12 – 17, 23,
        29 – 33, 43 – 46 and 54 – 60.

GEARYS Gearys has been a little disappointing this week with the carp showing one day and shutting up shop the next. Pleasure anglers have enjoyed good sport fishing boilies out to the middle stumps with catches of up to 151 fish to high double figures being caught. On the matches, weights to over 80lb were recorded but generally it was a little hard. Bomb and pellet and slapping on the pole were the best tactics in matches. Top pegs have been 1, 9, 16, 18 – 20, 23, 27, 31 and 36.

        PACKINGTON SOMERS FISHERY

LITTLE GEARYS Fishing really well at the moment with a new five hour fishery record weight of 222lb 7oz. Fishery regular Danny Tresigne had 160 F1’s on pole and paste/pellet tactics amongst the fish and slapping ground bait at 4 metres on peg 5. Good nets have been taken all around and various tactics have worked including a waggler to the island with pellet or corn down the margins with meat and also pole and pellet shallow. Top pegs are 1, 5, 7 – 12, 21, 23 – 26 and 29.

GRATUITIES The wind pushed a lot of the carp in front of pegs 7 – 11 and anglers fished long pole with pellet or pellet waggler to catch nets to 80lb. Lots of crucians, skimmers and some quality roach were caught on the caster or expander pellet.

WILLOW Anglers fishing shallow or the pellet waggler have had some great days catching plenty of carp around the 3lb mark and F1’s to a similar size. Float fished corn or meat down the margins has also been working well with carp to double figures being caught on this.

SIBLINGS A Fished the most consistent it has for a long time this week with decent nets coming from around the pool. Long pole tight to the island is catching carp in the 2 – 4lb bracket, ide and F1’s with pellet or meat the best baits.

SIB LINGS B Getting better all the time with lots of small F1’s to be caught on every peg and carp, crucians and tench also showing. Maggot fished short or pellet fished across to the far bank have been the best tactics.

ANNIVERSARIES In really good form with anglers enjoying excellent nets of mainly F1’s but the odd large bream, tench and carp also being caught. Pellet or maggot fished out into the open water is still the best approach. Top pegs have been 1 – 6, 10, 15 and 19 – 23.
