        I have just fished the latest round of the Sensas Challenge match at Gold Valley, it is a 4 hour match, and there is a lot to be said for 4 hours at this time of year.
        You get an extra hour in bed, you travel to the venue in daylight, you only ‘shiver’ for 4 hours and most people catch as much as they would if they fished for 5 hours assuming the match finishes at the same time. I wish more match organisers would fish 11-3pm at this time of year.

            there was 23 blanks out of the 70 anglers, but 20lb on middle lake won and there was a 19lb, 18lb and 11lb near the clubhouse on gold lake, the weather was ‘ridicously’ cold.

              I fish 3 hour matches March – October we fish 11-2 the worst hours of the day! alot of blokes like these 3 hr matches it takes less time out of their day.Me personally after working all week I would enjoy a 6 hour match, I can see a shorter match being appealing in winter due to the poor conditions.
