Hi all, I’ve just had a days coaching with Andy May yesterday (Monday 15.03.2010). I didn’t exactly know what to expect beforehand but now having had a day to reflect on it I think it went really well. From the moment I arrived he was polite, pleasant and a right down to earth guy which put me at ease from the off.
I’d certainly reccommend him for a days coaching to anyone who might be thinking about it. I thought beforehand that there was probably one massive thing that I was doing wrong and hopefully he could point it out to me. It turns out that it was numerous small changes that were needed which all made a massive difference. It really was an eye opener for me, especially the feeding patterns and quantities that were needed etc.
The fishing itself was typically hard with the water temperature still low. It was actually more benefical to me that it was fishing hard as it let me see the difference that the small changes actually made. I’m sure if it had been fishing its nuts off I’d have got away with a much cruder set up which was not what the point of the lesson was all about. Even though I wasn’t really bothering about what or how much I caught, I still managed 60lbs or thereabouts without any periods of actually sacking up.
Let’s hope that all the small changes he showed me actually stay with me and I don’t slip back to the bad habits that I have.~clap ~clap ~clap
