Anyone out there use said rods? Are they any good?
Reason I ask is they appear to be discontinued and are going cheap

I’ve not got the match rod but I do have 2 of the 11/13ft feedersand if the match rods are as good as the feeder rods then they will be awesome.

I have a few of the original series before they changed the graphics, so not handled the newer ones. But, the first generation are awesome rods. Nice action, great balance and the grip fit reel seat is amazingly comfortable to handle – especially on rivers for stick and wag fishing. Not used the match version on a commercial though, but I’d guess they’d be fine. I believe Roy Marlow designed them, which speaks volumes.

What prices have you seen them for? Originally they retailed at 170 quid which was a good reflection of their quality. The feeder rods are also fantastic for carping, I’ve used mine at Boddingtons for quite a few years

I use the original match and feeder rods and the quality is second to none. They are probably some of the most versatile rods going. You can get away with using them for tiddlers right through to double figure carp. I have used mine for pellet wag on commies no problem and had 200lb weights pleasure fishing as there is enough power down the blank. I have also used them for roach/skimmer fishing with conventional wagglers and sliders. I would never sell mine.

i got one of these a few years ago after being recommended by a mate, godda say its the best rod ive ever had, use it for all my wagg work including fishing on the pellet wag…
the one i have is the mk1 but ive also used the mk2 and cant find any differance (apart from the gfx)
i did break the spigot on the middle section when i REALLY pulled hard on a very large fish (or was it the other way round?) and if there is any design fault its godda be that…..
orginally i paid 70 quid for the rod off ebay and then bought another for 40 i think from a member on here (sorry i forgot who!!!) so now i have a spare tip and butt 🙂

i see them often go on ebay for around 60-70 quid (second hand)
think i will invest in the tip rod version next and i also belive the suveran range covers a lot of sea fishing rods, carp rods and spinning rods!!

Very nice rods. I sometimes use my 16/18′ model on deep river swims.
