They are the same … imo when you go to the air then the balance changes

TF_bakerboyParticipantYou should try the Tri-cast Trilogy Pro 2!
Had mine for two years now, very little wear on the joints.
Never yet had the joints pull apart when shipping out.
One broken joint.
Banging against concrete does not work!
Big plus points, it is cheaper than the Diawa and made in England not Scotland and in my opinion as a previous Diawa user, it is a much better pole -

TF_CriagH66Tourney Pro is much stronger. Just compare the wall strength on the 5’s and 6’s.
I have two now. Suits my style of fishing. Commercial carp, river chub, barbel, eels. Fishing where you need to pull back. But I fish the canals too and its fine there.
Might not be as poker stiff as the Z12. Perhaps not the best for catching F1’s long.
There will be very little if no difference between the Tourney, Airity, Air at 13/14.5m.
Oh and never had the sections come apart when shipping in or out. In fact the new Tourney Pro X joints can be a little tight. URBAN MYTH.Bakerboy. England, Scotland, bottom of the road. What’s the difference?

TF_bakerboyParticipantI try to supprt my own country whenever I can, especially when I think it is a better product at a lower price!

TF_JohnHI agree with bakerboy on the tricast trillogy.
I bought one second hand an XS and its stood up to everything, the top kits especially.
Unfortunately the trilogy pro 2s and XS sections are not interchangeable . I note too that tricast have a new top end pole just out and if this is as good as previous poles it will be the one to get.
I have the air, tprox and the old tpro and the tricast is first out of the bag if big carp are around.
I just don’t think the daiwas are the best poles for larger fish I have broken too many sections. -

TF_JohnHI never fish at 16m, or rarely do.
I used to some years back but the back ache was not worth it.
I have the sections behind me and will occasionally slip the 16 m section on for 5 mins just to see if the fish are backing off.
I honestly think in terms of balance etc across top end poles it’s marginal.
The daiwa sections are spongy you can compress them quite easily. On the tricast I can’t.
The daiwa match kits IMO are not up to big carp, I know some will shout me down and if it works for you I am fine with that but for me I have broken one too many to trust them anymore. -

TF_bakerboyParticipantYou inquire about the Tri-cast Trilogy Pro 2 finish.
All I can say is that after two years of regular use there is virtually no wear on the joints (no carbon dust on my hands) and the surface is pretty much the same as the day I bought it. -

TF_gaz rafter owning both the trilogys xs and pro2 and also a torny pro the tricasts are def the stronger poles, but dont rate them in the wind, the daiwa poles are a lot better in wind imo and still fairly strong poles, they all break if abused.

TF_gixer1I have a Trilogy Pro 2 and can honestly say it does the lot like Gazr says not the best when it’s blowing but I’ll take that for overall strength and finish etc, have tried a new Excellence, very good but not better enough (imo) to warrant me changing, I also owned an Air a while back, nice bit of kit but nowhere near as strong as the Trilogy and showed signs of wear very quickly, try a Pro 2 mate I’m sure you’ll be pleasantly surprised as I was.

StripeyA friend has the Airity and has trouble with sections coming apart and the number 4’s are prone to breaking.
How much do you want for your z12?
