TF_youngyI would just like to say a big “thanks” to Andy May for today. I spent 5 hours fishing with him which was paid for by my work 50/50.
He went through all of the things i’d asked in great detail, and showed me things i’d never thought about in terms of backshotting, feeding and presentation.Well worth the money, if you get a chance then jump at it!.
Cheers Andy.

TF_NW Cut AnglerThe future of angling more and more IMO. Coaching / Tuition whatever people want to call it.
I once got into trouble elsewhere for saying that money spent on such coaching was of far greater value than buying bags of new fancy groundbait or the latest seat box.

DEEDOGDACEParticipantHad a day with Andy last year. Revolutionised my pellet fishing and I’ve won loads of coin since. The man’s a legend as far as I’m concerned – great craic, honest as the day’s long, (and get this)has helped me via e-mail since with info on venues, methods etc – how good is that?

JLA14978Did a day filming with Andy not long ago for Ultima and I learned sooooo much in a relatively short time. He’s a proper gentleman too. Any day with him will be money very well spent.

TF_Renarcmacky1 you must have a go mate,Andy does not push his sponcers at all, just good plane sence on how to catch, turned

JLA14978Would echo what Renarc said although he does plug his sponsors when he has to!! He is a down to earth bloke who will tell you anything you want to know. He has no reason to hide anything from anyone. You shouldn’t be so sceptical when it comes to top anglers, the vast majority are top blokes who have nothing to hide.

TF_NW Cut AnglerCoaching is the biggest boom area for angling and the most important re producing better angler. Look at other sports like Golf where any half decent player gets paid for coaching anywhere / everywhere. In angling, you have world class anglers akin to the Mickleson’s, Wood’s offering to coach you.
I also think that perhaps it is time for the Angling Trust or a similar body to enquire about getting grants to employ coaches. Most other sports access funding from Sport England etc so why should angling be any different.

TF_Mr WhippyI had a day with Andy yesterday (friday) and weather apart it was brilliant, worth every penny. Fished arena at cudmore (the fisho venue), covered method and shallow fishing.
Andy is great, friendly and funny and has a great way of teaching. Until you have such coaching you won’t really appreciate the benefits, the number of minor changes, tricks and techniques that make such a massive difference to catch rate. Its cost me more today because I’ve gone out and bought some different hooks and floats, but the difference now is I will have total confidence using them.
