        Angel of the North Fishing Lakes report to 4th April 2010.

        May 1st Saturday we have a £500.00 winner takes all match on Lookout names and deposits being taken.

        Sunday 4th April 2010 open/League Lookout (Ton up for 1st)

        Conditions:- Overnight frost of –3, Mostly Cloudy, ambient temp rose to 5 deg, humidity 76%,

        Wind W 6 mph, barometer 1010.2 mb, moon phase wning gibbous, water temp 6 deg (dropped )

        DO 9.45 ppm, PH 6.75 (after rain from east ) mv 40.

        1st Chris Owers 100lb 7oz Peg 23 Ton up at 6 deg water temp!!!!

        2nd Brian Hall 49lb 2oz peg 16aaa

        3rd Craig Thompson 48lb 5oz peg 24

        4th Graham Skirrey 37lb 12oz peg 22

        1st section Dave Pearson 34lb 6oz peg 3

        Chris fished pellet waggler to far bank, at 15 inch depth, with 10mm banded angel pellet and fed 10mm angel pellets catapulted over hook bait.

        Wed 31st March 2010 open Bowes

        Conditions:-Very heavy overnight rain, Mostly Cloudy, ambient temp 4 deg ( feels like –2) wind N E calm then swung & built to NW 18 mph, humidity 93%, moon phase waning gibbous, barometer 981 mb (low), water temp 6.9 (temp dropped with heavy rain and cold winds), PH 7.40, DO 8.10,

        Started calm warm then it changed and the wind and rain started Alan fished conker to back of island. Big drop in water temperature overnight.

        Bowes
        Some good weights and fish coming out even though water temperature dropped this week, on Wednesdays match three good bream of 6lb 5, 6lb 7oz and 8lb 1oz as well as good nets of

        carp and silvers of rudd, roach, ide, tench, orfe and skimmers also being caught all around the

        lake. Pellet waggler working well,as is bomb, and feeder, conker, pellet, caster and worm also working on the hook. Feed angel 3mm pellets at this water temp to not over feed the fish.

        Lookout
        Fishing exceptionally well first 100lb plus out in match on Sunday, with good nets of carp and silvers being caught, all species from Carp, Koi, Crucians, skimmers, bream, rudd, roach, ide, orfe tench, perch all now being caught, even though water temperature dropped this week. Pellet waggler working well,as is bomb, and feeder, Hook baits of conker, pellet, maggot, caster tipped on worm, sweetcorn coming on now. Feed angel 3 mm feed pellets or maggot at this water temp.

        Bassetts
        Fishing well with lighter tackle and baits, Carp crucians, rudd, roach, orfe, tench, ide,skimmers all being caught, best baits on hook are are maggot, caster, pellet, try feeding maggot or 3mm angel pellet
