One heck of a winter week instead of a spring week, had –5 overnight wed/ thurs morning, and all lakes frozen, snow, sleet, hail, and major high winds which snapped lamp posts on main roads.

Anglers have had to be very dedicated this week but catches are reasonable for the conditions, good number of green and golden tench are being caught, best bram out was 7lb 3oz on Bowes, Carp starting to feed well and skimmers also feeding well. Some good Roach and cracking ide and orfe most coming out on maggot, feeding pellet and maggot,

With such low water temperatures careful with feed but small groundbait balls appear to be helping attract some fish to your swim.

Sunday 24th March 2013 open Lookout high E winds

Conditions overcast and high winds, ambeint temp 3 deg feels like –5, wind E 26 mph gusts to 33 mph, barometer 1022mb, moon phase waxing gibbous, water temp 2.4 deg, PH 7.85, DO 11.2,
