TF_iansi01354I have been a member of 3 local clubs who over the last couple of years have raised over £5k for a local charity Claire House and would like to share such a great cause and ask for your support to push us on to £7,500 this year.
We have our annual TriClubChallenge on Sunday 2nd Nov at our local fishery Lingmere who have done us proud with reduced peg fees to allow more to go to the charity as well as superb support from the local tackle shops who last year provided no less than 20 prize draw prizes as well as a free pint of maggots for every competitor!
The match on Sunday will be hard fought for local bragging rights and a trophy the size of the Ashes but the real winner will be Claire House.
If you can find your way to supporting us direct online its http://www.justgiving.com/TriClubChallenge/

TF_Staff BullGreat cause and a great bunch of lads. It’s a pleasure and an honour to be part of this. I have 2 small children and God forbid anythin ever happened to either of them I would want the best care available for them at any cost. It’s because of things like this that these hospitals for kids can give such precious and great care. Not only do they care for the sick children but they also support the parents through the hard times and also carry on supporting the parents throughout their lives. I think that this is a fantastic cause and I hope we can support these fantastic people who work in these hospitals for a long time to come. I would really hope as fellow anglers/parents that you can all spare a couple of quid and give a little to this great cause.
Thanks for taking your time to read this.

TF_iansi01354Well we are off and running this year with a few hundred pounds already donated online ahead of time and with a lot of the 30 anglers competing continuing to raise cash the old fashioned way by paper based sponsorship I’ll provide an update after Sunday’s match with the amount we have pledged.
Thanks to all who have donated again this year and in previous years!

TF_iansi01354Congratulations to Egremont Ferry who today won our TriClubChallenge after a superb display winning 5 of the 10 sections and retaining their title!

1st – Billy Gore – 71.12
2nd – Jamie Pickup (Staff Bull) – 71.06
3rd – Dougie Walsh – 65.0And now for the cash collections update: –
Thanks to Steve and Jan Openshaw who own Lingmere Fisheries who donated a big chunk of the peg fees worth £224 and did an after match buffet.
Anglers on the day donated £210 of the pools winnings back into the pot……..fabulous gesture guys!!!!
16 of the 32 attendees have confirmed off line pledges of £1607 and the other 16 have until 30/11
Overall that means we have already raised at least £2241 so far this year and have raised £7798 in the last 3 years so its going to push on past £8k!!!!!!!!
