Rutland Water is in excellent form with outstanding fishing and plenty of quality fish. Regular visitor to Rutland Water, Stephen McLean writes “Every year the fishing is superb. A combination of the facilities, the staff, not to mention the fish. On Friday John McLean and I had six fish to the boat caught up the north arm in Dickinson Bay. After lunch we headed up the south arm to try our luck, between the Bunds and Green bank. Floating line, damsel on the point with two red cheeked diawl bachs on the droppers I cast out, straightened my line, immediately it tightened and after 15 heart stopping minutes we had landed a Brown that I’ll literally never forget. The fish was returned, our estimate was at least 8lb.â€
