          It never really froze mate , pegs up the bird sanctuary are your best bet start off chucking at 40 yrds and work your way out to find the fish , they will either be there ..or not?? method or PVA bag~clap

              It was froze solid over xmas when i walked round. Just before that though they were still catching a few on long range method feeder. A mix of groundbait and pellets seemed to be best. As for where to fish the sailing club side is far more consistent once it goes cold as the prevailing wind is off your back and the fish tend to like to sit out of it.

                Thanks as well carpmagic -think we;ll try the boathouse side, if only for a bit of shelter LOL!

                  Boathouse side doesnt get fished as much but has always been better in winter. Id be confident of a bite or two even in this cold. Be prepared to wait though and i would look to leave it out around 25 minutes a cast.
