  Spoke to Alan this morning and he fished it sunday, think he said he was second or third with neary 14lb of roach. Lee Kerry won it with 18lb. They had to break ice but Alan said it wasnt that thick and he expected it to be gone by mid week.

  yup we all went broke the ice yest, altho it was thawing during the day so we had massive sheets of ice drifting thru the pegs all day. the water was a horrible colour from all the crap off the roads and it still fished brilliantly.

  It fished really well Joff. Loads of double figure weights. Even considering the terrible conditions.
  Think it will be better this week personally!

  Spent an hour watching Mr Scotthorne from the bridge whilst I was unsuccessfully piking from the other side. Seemed a small stamp of fish he was catching so he must hae had a fair few?

  for 16-20lb u need about 250 roach mate so a busy days fishing is needed, they are just a nice stamp to be fair. did u not catch any pike??? throw some groundbait in!!!!

  Alan said he had just over 200 fish for nearly 14lb if i remember right.
