Anyone want a short 6th for a browning z9?

  Collected my Z9 pro pack on saturday. set it up in the garden next to my mates Pro2. the 9 is stiffer and about 2 foot longer so feeling pretty happy with myself. grin soon disappears when i tread on the 6th sect smashing it to pieces! and it’s only been out of the box 1/2 hour!~sick dont think i can get away with the usual “was broken when I took it out the tube” excuse so looks like im going to be testing brownings spares service. maybe it was a “weak section” cos it only took a size 10 and 12 stone to break it!~think

  so not very strong then Paul? you could always claim not fit for purpose, stiffer and longer than the pro 2 ? pro x?
  
  still a great bit of kit or will be when you get the replacement

  I broke my z9’s number 5 section on Saturday at Meadowlands, the wind whipped it off the flat bed roller and on to a corner of a slab step down to my peg leaving a puncture cross in it, I taped it up hoping it would last me the rest of the match but snapped in half when cupping out, only the tape held it or I would have lost the cupping kit and the number 4.
  
  Any one know how uch a new number 5 would be?

  If its a clean break Chris then it will be worth getting a pro repair on it..It wont affect the performance of the pole at all and will certainly be a damn sight cheaper (approx Â£30)
  By the way,how stiff and light is the pole at full length ?

  not stiff by g10 standards but stiff enough.a lot easier to fish with though.

  It is a clean break Gaz and I having it repaired ( a lad in our club gets the guy the Carbon and he does it for a fiver, the same bloke who does the repairs for Lanes I think). Will it not affect the pole at all then?
  
  Will probably still get a new section though as I’m a bit of a tackle tart and like things to look good ~clap
