What a rediculous result yesterday on our match at lakeview.
Fished for Rivendell Vs Mansfield Pisco’s
Turned up at the lakes (only just due to the snow !!!) and found that they only had 6 anglers instead of 8.
Result, this meant they got max points for their missing two anglers who had bumped their car on route.
Broke the ice on marina pool and was not sure to expect as not really a regular. The guys who fish it regular told me that peg 1 was the nailed on winner and that you needed to be at that end of the lake to catch.
You guessed it, I was on peg 15 – opposite end of the lake !!
Optimistic as always I went about my business and had 4 F1’s in the first couple of hours, but then not a sign from another.
Caught another couple of pounds of silvers to weigh 7lb 4oz for joint 3rd overall and a section win
This is the best bit !!
Mansfield lads won every other section and we tied on points (13) which meant they won on section wins.
All I can say is fair play to them, but what crap performance from Rivendell !!!
Given the circumstances with the men down from the off, you just cant afford to lose 5 out of 6 of the sections and expect to advance in the competition.
Oh well, at least I know the ice breaker works well !!
