It’s abit dear and doesn’t look big enough to me, you may aswell go and get a bait brolly.

Looks like a doctored grass box from a mower.

Far too expensive, could put something together for myself for almost nothing

THE ULTIMATE mesh cantilevered one seems larger and a lot cheaper and very practical.
surely a plastic or wooden bread box seems simular to this one?

I see that Sensas are also doing one. No prices yet, though. Can anyone one help with a price?

yes brownng do do one, its called the shelter side tray comes in both small and large and has a cover which folds up and down to cover your bait from rain/sun.

Here’s one I made years ago when I was on the bread.

my shop has got the browning sidetray with a cover like a pram hood. its very well made but is very expensive and very big, a fair bit bigger that the medium rive tray. he has got the normal size version coming in soon. had a look at the ultimate tray and it looks like the usual cheap copy and it only fits sqaure legs. does anybody stiil use square legs ?

The only drawback to these covers is when the wind gusts in the direction of the open mouth of the cover and in comes the rain and away wriggles your bait. there’s also the possibility of a complete blow out if you’re the type to fish in real howlers.

During the summer months they may be more convenient in keeping the sun off your pellet bait and help prevent it drying out and keeping your maggots from roasting.

cutnut- pmsl that’s the dogs !!
…and crafted fom real wood-bespoke RIVE eat your heart out.A nice logo on there and it will sell shedloads- and can store made-up bags of punch and Wharburtons until possibly sensas can re-bag special selected ‘sliced hooker’ punch bread that has been carefully pre-cooked,baked and textured to suit match-fishings demands and avaliable in 3 varying thicknesses to suit
                                              size of species and conditions.

as for square legs-yes themjority ofpeople i see still use them and why not?
I even know some pretty good anglers who have adapted Ultimate boxes to take a plattform gel seat- and their other box is a top end box albeit much heavier.

Nothing against any of the tackle boys or boxes- they’re only thinking of producing an instant to suit niche and demand and why not- i’m certainly tempted by more than a few if i’m honest. At least they’re making some
stuff which employs people and supports angling and match-fishing.
                                              Still admire cutnut’s tho’
