anyone else caught a barbel on a mepps?

Saw a spinning magazine in Italy a few years back where they were catching bream, barbel and carp on lures.

Unfortunately I cannot speak Italian so I havnt a clue what they said. But the pictures were genuine.

Yea I’ve caught a barbel on a spinner! Many years ago I was fishing the frenchmans peg in Bewdley and my mate was fishing the cokehole peg above. He was fishing the stick and kept getting pestered by a pike! I stuck a small spinner on chucked it upstream and first chuck I hooked what I thought was the pike. How shocked was I when a 6lb barbel surfaced!
