Got the chance of one with plenty of kits and spares. anything to look out for? Common sections breaking and so on? Honest opinions please. Thanks

No6 sections are usually the one to break, approx. 8-10″ from the male end, No4’s also but that is the same for most poles I suppose. Just check how the sections fit together as Daiwa are well known for the sections coming apart when shipping, also look at the female ends and check how far the end of the section is from the point of the triangle – this will tell you if any of the ends have been trimmed back and how far.

I had a black Airity a few years back but never really got on with it, I went from a Garbolino G10 to the Airity and found it too soft and a bit bouncy for me so I sold it after 6 months.
Funnily enough though I have just sold my Garbolino Gmax1000 and M1 as I was now finding them too stiff ??? Funny how your preferences change as you change the places you fish and the type/size of fish you are fishing for.

These are my opinions, so can all the die hard Daiwa fanatics please not attack me. Cheers

I think you have answered your own question in the wanted section!, no.6’s go a lot, for me to buy one it would have to be a cracking deal.

Had one six years I don’t match fish an awful lot but the pole has had a lot of use pleasure fishing and some days catching carp for several hours at a time, I’ve never had a fault with this pole I’ve had it un ship several times on the rollers once on a fish, like all daiwas you need to keep giving them a twist, I fish this pole down the edge at one pond with purple hydro and hammer out big carp from the vegetation I have been told I’m lucky by other airity owners to have never done a number 6 because I can be a bit ham fisted. Its a very well balanced pole and is easily fishable at 16m and when I changed from a connoisseur to the airity it was noticeable how many more bites you hit and how tidier your fishing is with less bounce at longer lengths etc,its still easily on of he best poles around it does burn your arms on a red hot day that’s due to black absorbing heat I don’t know if the silver airity is as bad an on hot balmy days the finish on hot sweaty hands and arms can prove tricky when shipping out long so I tend to wear a thin sweatshirt, I don’t really see much use for the short 4s as the poles already stiff enough and parrelel 4 totally unbalances the pole I suppose that’s why they never took off, the match kits as always are lighter and stiffer then the bbpk1s which I only use with anything above black hydro. The bad points are trivial things there nowt to do with balance or stiffness etc and to summarise I’m surprised you have found a second hand one for sale because I would never want to part with mine.
