Just clicked on the Sea Forum by mistake and spotted this…
Brings back a few memories- When I lived in Newcastle knew Joppa pretty well – a very good coarse angler as well as sea.
Plenty of stories from the old Tynefishers Club coach trips- best one was on the way back from I think the Cumberland Eden when Joppa invented the unsuccessful chub anglers sandwich…(Scrounged an unused uncut loaf from one angler, an unopened tin of luncheon meat from another and a lump of cheese from someone else. Hollowed out the loaf by hand, put the meat and cheese inside and ate the lot…)

Hope the match is a great success.
