        Can you recommend a short bomb rod (8ft/9ft) that will handle carp ?
        And has anyone tried the Preston Carbonactive 8ft 6in Snake bomb rod ?
        Appreciate your advice guys.

            Bigfella wanted a 8′ or 9′ rod?.The sphere rod is 10′ :confused:

              I haven’t tried the Preston but I got the Matrix Method Master at 9ft. I haven’t hooked owt over 5lb yet but it seems to have the right combination of softness in the top to handle F1s with a bit more power lower down which helps casting and should handle bigger carp better than the parabolic actions of a lot of bomb rods. I used to use a Shakespeare Mach 1 for really short chucks but found it too stiff for F1s.

                  have a look at tricast the new commercial feeder range are very good they do an 8ft 10ft and 11ft fantastic action on them
