Hi – We have a clubbie on this water this Sunday, does anyone know how its fishing, baits depth ect.

I also heard a little whisper they had a fish kill can anyone confirm or discard that whisper?

        Thanks

          Hi Big Finn
3 islands is a mixed lake quite small 30 pegs max with two small islands. I can only say don’t ignore the silvers I have had 10lb+ of rudd fishing caster shallow @ 6mtrs and also good skimmers on 4mm expanders on the deck feeding micros which will bump your weight up. If you are lucky enough to draw an island peg or pads carp on meat, if its not happening with the carp go for the silver option.

hey I have fished here alot in the past but not this year. Depths, about 3 foot. Alot of different species in here; chub, barbel, carp, rudd, skimmers. Methods which are best are paste and pellet to the island for the carp. Also shallow with 4mm pellet for the chub will work in this weather. And margins with pellet and paste. 40 odd pound used to be usual winning weight, more if caching in the margins.

Also the match lake was closed last week as the oxygen dropped very low, not sure why, but it’s good again. Only lost about 12 fish though- fingers crossed it’s ok as imo it’s the best lake around here.
