  Caster for the roach, they’ll come close in up and down in the water. Feed a long line with micro and keep looking over it with a 4mm expander on the hook for skimmers.
  
  Be prepared to get seen off by carp!!!

  casters as mr mac says but you also need maggots.and more so pinkies you will get a quicker responce on pinkie small fish and the odd stamper.concentrate on the bottom .75 rig.cup the odd ball of dark grounbait in.if the skimmers wake up then there worth goin for but really just a numbers game tryin to bring a fish back every time.13m in front of you and 7-9m at an angle.my m8 blanked few week ago and the match was won with a skimmer off no3 lake.but should be better than that by nw lol

  they have a trouble with cormrants but i dont know to what extent and to what lakes…. I know they was on the canal no8 and nothing was done

  I heard they had been on number 4 aswell same again nothing was done, i suppose they don’t care now there selling it.

  i seen 1 comorant on no4 before xmas.during a match.very brave.
  open matchs are not very well run,shame really as the silver fishing is fantastic.
