I had a couple of small bream last week at besthorpe – small 2 pounders that were a nice surprise. It made me want more and so I’m looking for somewhere that holds some nice big slabs and maybe the odd doctor fish. It’s been over 20 years since I caught a Tench. I googled some places and Hinderclay kept pushing my buttons. If I’m not asking too much it would be a good size lake or pit that hasn’t got all of those (dare I say) silly carp rules. I’d like to fish light and not have to fish the equivalent of beach gear just in case some poor leather thats been caught a dozen times before comes along… So,now I’ve alienated myself,is there a day ticket water (not Swangey though) close to Thetford full of big bream and Tench?

If you put in Fox Specialist on youtube it comes up with an hour Fox video about a place near Peterboro about a place called Ferry Meadows….looks good to me.
