Broken section, is it repairable???

Afternoon all,
I have a pole section that has been broken cleanly in half, I realise that this isn’t a problem repairs wise, however, at the same time this damage occured it appears there was some further damage on the male end of the section. There is a split half way down the male end that is about half an inch in length, running around, rather than down the section. Can this be repaired in anyway? My hunch is that it can’t but thought I’d ask on the off chance it can be patched up on the inside, as it is accessible where it is.

Yes not a problem, small internal sleeve done at same time as main repair – shouldn’t cost more than an extra £5.

Ive just had a clean broken section repaired by Esselle and can recommend them, still packs away also which is good.
