Does anyone have a browning xitan z7 or know anything about them?

Got my Z7 last march. Never had a browning pole before but my local shop does a lot of browning and the owner recomemded it after i got sick of my Maver 401 breaking at the first sign of stress. I was thinking of getting a Sensas 744 or Spectron power as id fished with my mates, but glad that I didnt. The z7 is brilliant and i love it more than my wife ~naughty , ive given some serious stick ant its never let me down. An idiot in the local park trod on the 5th and a new section was really cheap compared to maver (and sensas). The top kits are very light and not too long like the Maver. My Maver tops fitted it but I sold them with the pole cos the z7 kits are better. I tried the new z9 last week , its very light and superstiff but I reckon that up to 14.5 the z7 is as good so not sure I will change pole yet. Am so impressed with my 7 i have just bought a browning margin pole for summer bagging – if the sun ever shines again!.
          Id’ say go for it.

I’m going to go have a look on Saturday was also thinking about a maver 381 then saw the browning advertised, I use a maver distinction at the moment and it been a good pole just need to get new one. How much did you pay for your browning?

was 1499 in the book but he gave it to me for 1385. Got 16m and a dolly, 6 kits, 2 4ths , cupping kit and holdall. Bought 2 more kits with it and he did them for 55 each. Sold my 401 for 750 RESULT ~clap so am well happy. it must have saved me 500 squid in new sections last summer.

                hi sketty.
i used a Z7 for around 10 months before i got the newer Z9 and was slightly aprehensive about using it at first. id had a tournamnet pro before hand which obviously was a more expensive top of the range pole and the thought of using a cheaper pole made me think it wouldnt be able to compare to my previous pole, when i first got it though it became obvious that wasnt going to be aproblem. i put it side by side with my dads tourny pro and was amazed to see it being almost identical stiffnes wise but it was also slimmer and lighter. at 13 and 14 meters it was a joy to fish with and really comfortable, it started to go slightly at 16 meers but was still easily fishable and still stiff ( ive actually fished it up to 19 meters)
i used it for everything from canal fishing with 2’s elastics through to snag fishing for carp and never had any problems what so ever. id certainly recommend trying to take a look at one in pole alley if you can and compare it to others in the same price range. im sure you ll be impressed.

                  Have Browning raised the bar?

Will other pole companies have to bring out top end poles at a lower price?

My local shop said the Pro’s that are on sale now are stock items as no more are being made due to the release of the Pro X.

Maver number 4 with a bit of persuasion or Preston 2.7 mm

Two nets asked have browning raised the bar? I would say an emphatic yes the pole is lighter, just as stiff cheaper has the easy slide finish, additional features as strengthened areas for use on spray bars or elbow areas, lighter match/ power kits which are just as strong, cupping in points marked on the pole on 16m, 14.5 & 13 metre joints, then there shortly to be released pulla kit which enables elastics still to be tensioned is a revelation, raised the bar and then some in my opinion, and for price wise diawa’s are now selling the out dated pro which has none of the browning attributes for a tad more dosh, raised the bar ? theve jumped over it matey imo :¬)
