        Does anyone remember there poles the Slimjim and Longjohn?

          Yes I do, Dave Roper and Dave Brogden were sponsored by them in the 80’s the prototype poles they used looked really thin however when they hit the market they were nothing like – think they only lasted in the market for about 2 years before disappearing without trace.

            yes macca63 the slimjim was a very thin pole the better of the two poles,was it just them two who had the poles or all the Izack walton team?

              I seem to recall it was just those two who had them at the time. I think there is still a picture of Broggy on the wall in Ted Carters using the same pole. This was a time when 12m was the limit for poles.

                i had one of these good pole at the time cost £500 from Ted Carters they had a hard foam handle on the butt section which made it comfy to use at full length
