Tight Lines this week…
Friday 20TH August 7pm Sky Sports 3
Repeated: Sat. 3.30am Sky Sports 2
6am Sky Sports 2
8am Sky Sports 3
On this Friday’s Tight Lines Keith will be joined in the bothy by one of fly fishing all-time greats: Charles Jardine. A brilliant angler with a fly rod in his hand on all manner of water, still or flowing, large or small, Charles will bring a wealth of knowledge and inspiration with him.
If there’s anything you want to ask Charles or Keith, please get your question in as soon as possible via an e-mail to [email protected].
We get to see what fly fishing, and the tackle used, was like back in the day when Andy Ford takes a tour of the fantastic Hardy Museum at Alnwick in Northumberland. The most famous name in the sport has some fascinating tales to tell and our host is no less than Jim Hardy who, at 80, is the last remaining member of the family line involved in the business.
Out on the bank, Keith throws another line into Lough Allen with his old pal Geoff Cooper. This time the dynamic duo target the bream and big hybrids in the deeper water, using sliding floats and plenty of feed to record a memorable day’s action.
And Keith will have plenty of advice for you in Fishery Focus. There’ll be information on the best methods and baits to use at some typical UK venues to suit anglers of all disciplines, as well as a prediction for the weather and conditions you’re likely to face on the waterside this coming weekend.
In next week’s show the main topic will be match fishing with Fish’O’Mania Seventeen’s runner-up, former World Champion Tom Pickering.
Please keep the questions, and your photos for the ‘Young Angler of the Month’ competition, coming in via e-mail to [email protected].
If you miss the show on Friday and want another chance to see Tight Lines in its entirety, the episode will be available to download as a podcast from Monday via our website – http://www.skysports.com/tightlines
