  The problem with chatbox is unless you know the person well…….. you never know how they are going to interpret what you have put.
  
  I can tell a mate he’s a right w**ker and he’d laugh, put that to someone you don’t know and he’d probably want to throw his handbag at you

  imo no good at all.
  it’s all well and good if you know people.
  however if you don’t it’s like walking into a pub hearing a conversation at another table full of strangers then pulling up a chair and joining in. mmm not going to happen is it?
  i joined mfs a few weeks ago and i wish i had’nt now.

  Why don’t you like it mate, I have heard some good things about it but there seems to be a few unhappy punters on there at the mo, judging by the threads

  Why is that Dirkangler? I would be most greatful if you would pass on your concerns/thoughts/critisisms so that hopefully they can be addressed and you can continue to be a part of the fastest growing and most respected internet club in cyberspace… Please PM me on MFS and I’ll do what I can.
  
  The thing with chatboxes, IMO, is that you have to have a bunch of sensible members using such a facility to make it work effectively!
  
  Some forums, just haven’t got the right sort of members to make it useful, some forum members would use it as another way to abuse other members, knowing that whatever they have written will be auto deleted within a few hours!
  
  The “little” mis understanding on MFS was just that, and to my knowledge has been the 1st instance of “unrest” involving the chatbox.
  
  MFS have now hosted around 30 LIVE chat sessions with some of the sports GREATEST anglers, on their chatbox! This far out weighs the one little spat!
  
  I think they are great and help make certain forums stand out from the crowd.

  I’m sure if you speak to the people who were involved, you ‘ll be able to get the info you wanted, rather than reading peoles opinions of a matter they had nothing to do with.
  
  An angling forum just isn’t the place to discuss some issues people have, it will do more harm than good.

  That was a minor spat that has been sorted out between adults in the proper manner, certainly not the sort of abuse that sometimes gets dished out on here.
  I seem to remember Grant Albutt for a very short time, Giles and many other top anglers coming on here, I wonder where they all post now?~think ~think

  Gentlemen we dont need to get all het up about this. TJ aka Blunthook… nice to see you posting , even if it is under a new name. All forums have spats and MFS have just shown us all we are all the same. There is no such thing as elitism whatever certain people would have us think……..

  The little tiff on mfs yesterday was just that. A little tiff.
  A couple of grown men had a difference of opinion. It lasted several minutes in total… not the several days that some abusive attacks last on here.
  
  Apologies have been made where nessessary , again something not often seen here, and the incident is done with.
  
  No doubt it will be dragged on here, after all, it has the reputation of being the tabloid of fishing forums here at the moment.
  
  Also, probably to the disgust of some on here, it involved no foul language or threats… even arguments are polite on mfs…lol

  Hi Dave hows things matey? I had to reregister as i couldn’t log in under my old name mate. I agree you will never get a pefect balance but for some to have a dig when they maybe don’t know the full story is well out of order. At the end of the day the net is a massive place and there is room for all.

  Dave why bother mate as there will always be arseholes on all sites trying to stir things up.
  
  Before you go spouting off gents get all the facts and history behind a decision, then and only then can you make an informed Choice/Decision…until you have all the relevant stuff its all bollox.

  This falling out and name calling between members of the 2 sites is riduclous – I personally wish MFS had not split off from TF, but it has and both sites share many of the same members.
