Cob House Winter League Result – Round 2

The second round of the cob house winter league was held yesterday, 12-01-14 – a very cold frosty morning greeted us all, so was always going to be a hard day – but it is a winter league!
Team winners on the day were the Misfits (Chris Cameron, Steve Ford, Mike Robinson and Mark Franklin) with an excellent 12 points. Team second was Team Old Ghost with 16 points and third was the Nomads with 18 points.
Individual winner (again) was Steve Ford with 136-10-0 from Laugherne Island peg 23 – Individual second was Corky crew team member Terry with 121-12-0, from Laugherne island peg 13.
Section winner from Wyatts was Nigel Clarke (Nomads) with 86-12-0, Oak Section winner was Steve Roberts (nomads) with 62-13-0. Section winner on Laurel was Shaun Little (MAP/Baitech) with 92-12-0 and default section winner on Laugherne Island was Darren Fisher (Old Ghost) with 87-8-0.
So with 2 rounds gone, the league looks like this –
1. Drawbags, 5pts
2. Nomads, 6pts
3. Misfits, 7pts
4. MAP/Baitech, 7pts
5. Old Ghost, 10pts
6. Corkys Crew, 11pts
7. Phils Tackle, 11pts
8. Solhampton all stars, 15pts
9. Button Oak, 19pts
10. Hamstead, 19pts.
Third round is this Sunday (19-01-14)

Some fantastic weights in very cold conditions – I would have like to have known how people caught – Are you hinting that Steve Ford would be better placed with the “Drawbags” team 😀
Just had a trawl through old posts to see if I could see how much the “Drawbag” bag caught in the first round but can’t find the post :confused:

I think we are lucky down this way.We have a few good winter venues to be fair.
