Daiwa 200 seatbox

This looks a great bit of kit for the money,has anybody got one of these and how do they rate them.Can u get separate trays etc.Will uses one of these as i saw on tight lines and i think he had some input in it.

I’ve had one for 6 months now, paid £215 for it brand new. I well pleased with it, it’s comftable sturdy and loads of room for rigs and all terminal tackle. The draws never come open in transit and the legs never slip.

It isn’t the lightest box on the market and some moan as Preston and Fox winder trays don’t fit in but with a little bit of tweeking I’ve got 4 fox winder trays fitted.

Another thing is that its quite tall so if your vertically challenged you may be struggling if you don’t take a winder tray out.

I haven’t seen any add ons but thats not to say there isn’t any.

Thanks Bucks,how mutch tweeking did you have to do mate?.Ive been looking at different boxes for a while now and this looks good value,i would stretch to a rive if i could see a big difference in terms of quality.Havent seen the diawa on the bank but will look at it.

dave, you mean you have not fixed enough leaks to be able to afford a rive?? lol

Not yet Steve,want to have a look at a few boxes and take time to think over my options,i want my next box to last and serve me well with module type options prefferd.I do like the look of the rive RX SPORT but the price of it i dont like.

i know what you mean, i would love a rive, but just cannot justify it at the moment. will have to save up for about 10 yrs, then i may be able to afford one.

Bacsey, the fox msb is a brilliant box, no tweaking will be needed to get the fox trays in lol. Excellent value for money in my opinion. Plenty of add-ons for them, easy to get hold of too.

Looked at the fox box and it doesent do it for me im afraid,i think its very practicle but without any flair,sorry im a bit of a tart.

I cut about 5mm off the plastic fox tray at one end then used a coping saw to knotch round the pot rivets and it stays in place perfectly. It means you get one less winder in than you would normally.
