daiwa generic top kits & tourney pro

anybody know if the generic match top3 kits are any good for the tourny pro or anything else that fits ( thats cheaper!)

You will not find a difference between orig. tops and t3mk, everyone uses them.

ctk5 are the power kits,yes the t3mk are the topkits you want for the pro just remove the number 1 section they are good upto black hydro and anything thicker than that you will need the ctk5 and cut it back to suit

Without doubt, generic 3 is as good as original 3 but half the price!

What a load of twoddle going on here. Why would you pay £2000 for a pole and put crap on it. Would you put remould tyres on a ferrari???? I think not!! If you can’t arrord the reel deal buy something like a leeda!!

If that were true, no-one would use a big bore top or a CTK5, and I prefer not to, but that’s not the point, if you can feel the difference between a standard T3 and a generic T3 you are either the princess who slept on the pea or you work for Daiwa!

Nice to see I am not the only one who sadly remembers all the best fairy stories. This is more proof of how old I am getting, I am sure Helen would put me right but the only way I can tell the difference is a little red triangle with a number 3 on it.

The amount of anglers using the generic kits on the top end Daiwa poles are huge.
The only difference i have found is the generic T3 is 0.18 grams heavier but slightly stiffer.

Daiwadavid, its taken me a long time to save up for all the tournament gear so if i can spend less on top kits that aren’t greatly different to the origionals then i am going to save the extra money to buy things in poundland and bettabuy food and tesco value toilet roll and sainsburys basics sweetcorn, get real man

I got 5 generic match 3s for £150 and the difference is either nothing or so small that my bulging arms can’t tell the difference. Am I going to spend £450 for 5 genuine match 3s and feel more difference in my wallet, I doubt it! I guess you work for Daiwa then David?

I have got the Shimano Speedmaster comp,and plenty of top kits for the lighter laccy,but only two proper power tops……

I am currently looking at some universal tops from Fishing republic to make the numbers up,as like you,at the moment,my money is a bit tight…and at £15 a top kit,compared to £75,it’s a steal……

And seeing as they won’t be used any further than the margins,upto 11mtr,the balance is neglegable…………

Just been digging through all my top kits……..

I had a look at the top kits for the Leeda Assassin,and they fit my no.4 on the speedmaster,as does the top kits for the Sensas Willenbroke,though very slightly too big.

Looks like I have just saved a few bob !!
