TF_vinnyHi has any one got or seen these yet?
Do you need to buy the top 3 or will number 1 fit torny pro 2 or number 2 fit torny number 3?~think -

no longer fannying about with match kits and power kits not being the same length anymore.
i’ll try to explain it as i understand it.
i’ve sold my powerkits as the mbs replaces them.
they are approx 6 ins longer than a ctk5 powerkit.
you then need to replace your match number 1 and 2 with the mtb 1 and 2.
keeping your match no3 as part of your mtb kits.
i’ve kept my match no 1 and 2s for winter fishing.
so all you need in your pole bag now is 6 or so full 1-2-3 mtb topkits + whatever spare mtb no 1s fully elasticated with a bung on ready to swap whenever you need too. SEEMPLES.
~clap ( i hope this makes sense it took me a bit of head scratching to figure it out ) -

yes thats right mate they fit straight onto your tourney no3.
the only reason you’ll need any of your no2s is if you are going to put your no1s back in them for winter roach/small fish usage in which case you’ll be wanting to put a small bush in the no2.otherwise you can use them to hold up your tomato plants~clap

TF_squattCan the multi bore no.1’s be bought on there own and used in the no.2’s of pucker match kits or generic match kits. This would gain me another meter of length in a top kit which would be useful on rivers or in Holland when I’m fishing top 5’s.

TF_vinnysquatt i may be wrong but the way i understand it is the the bore of the number 1 will be almost identical to the tip of the number 2 and as they are telescopic will not telescope far enough ?
Some one may put me right on this as could be wrong mate -

no mate they’re a lot longer and fatter than a standard match number 1.

TF_andynorth2003ParticipantDoes anyone know how long the new multi bore top2 is?
Interested to see how much extra length there is Vs a standard match kit No. 2 bushed. Also, I take it these tops are stronger, as they can take red hydro in the 5.3mm version.
Does this effect the balance of the pole Vs standard match kits? -

TF_squattI was told that you would not want to use them on say a wide snake lake as the balance is c*ap, is this true?

TF_andynorth2003ParticipantCheers.
But do they make difference when fishing long with a Pro or Airity, compared to the standard match No.2 ??My guess is that they are probably better than the big bores, but not as good as a standard match top.
Correct me if Im wrong, but if this is the case, they are not worth buying for all elastics, just for bagging set ups?
Or if you have a limited budget and dont want to fork out for 20 top kits, but want the choice of laggies in your bag.
If thats the case, why would you do this with a £2k + pole? -

we’ll see over the coming months whether they unbalance the pole or not,
20 no1s cost £240
20 topkits cost £1400
i think you’d have to be very very rich not to consider them as an option

TF_andynorth2003ParticipantJust been thinkng about these kits again.
Will the No.1’s still telescope through the No.2 when you have got a connector/crows foot/dacron&bead attached to the end.
Especially if you have got heavy laggies (ie black hydro +) the bore of the No.2 will need to be pretty big to allow it to still telescope.
If this is the case, you can have as many No.1’s as you like, but be pretty useless in a match situation as would take too long to mess around setting a kit up. I much prefer to go into my rod bag and grab a ready setup kit and be fishing again within seconds.
Views anyone who own these kits and their fishability (if thats a word?)

I’ll take a look at them next time im in the shop.
Time will tell whether they are a good innovation.
