The first of the silver fish only opens kicked off today and they started in fine style as Darren Cox (Garbolino) hammered out 64-4-0 of roach, perch and skimmers on chopped worm caster and pellet at 13 metres from peg 12 on Lambsdown.
Second place went to Eddie Keane (Packington Vets) on peg 6 who caught quality roach on caster and maggot at 11m for 45-0-0.
Third was Brad Titmas (Kamasan Starlets) who caught roach and skimmers on worm and caster at 13 metres from peg 19 for 41-14-0.
