TF_GillboIt gives somebody else a chance now though.
I thought you would be raving on about Adam Johnson for England after yesterday Rodger?

I don’t think there is anyone else who is good enough Wright Philips isn’t and has never really been in favour, Aaronn Lennon he’s injuryed personally he’s overrated and Theo Walcott definitely is good enough.

TF_dirkdiggleranyone who thinks beckham won’t be a loss to the england team doesnt know anything about football at all.

TF_nitroI dont think we stood a real chance of winning it anyway, but we have no chance at all without beckham. He is a solid player that brings experience and passion to the team and is just a very strong player to have in the midfield. Apart from Rooney, who is one of the top players in the world, we are seriously lacking in world class talent.

Wangla~think Not much consolation for Becks but would love to see him sat on the bench for some vocal support.

TF_NW Cut AnglerMight be better for England. Becks has been finished for a long time. If lennon can get himself fit that would be great. Beckham was and is history, before this injury.

TF_macca63Was listening to Stan Collymore on Talk Sport a few months back re the argument whether Beckham should or should not go to the World Cup, seems at the last WC he put in a total of 100 crosses of which 1 resulted in a goal so the stats don’t lie – not as good as people think he is plus he’s another 4 years older.
He lost all credibility when he signed for that yank circus outfit.

TF_Serious SamI still remember that stupid hissy fit kick that set us down to 10 men and got us out before. No great loss imho, give someone else a shot.

TF_Serious SamBout time someone else got a chance – you can’t build a side around one prima donna, he always managed to balls it up for us one way or another anyway – remember ’98.

Imo thats totally wrong mate, prima donna? No-way, Where have you ever heard him being big headed and demanding things? If he was a prima donna no-one would go near him, he’s one of the most liked players in football history.
He’s done more for football in the last 15 years than anyone else has done in 30. I’ve had the pleasure meet tand play with him and he was one of nicest and down to earth people i’ve ever met.

TF_GALPSIm in aggreement with Trav849.
He is a global icon whos hunger for the game is still immense!
How many players would willingly train at other clubs during their closed season to keep fit and keep their international carear alive !!
Can you see the likes of David Bentley or Aaron Lennon doing that??? i think not.
He should still go as part of the back up staff.
GALPS

He’s a decent sort of bloke and Rebecca what’s her name aside not a bad ambassador, fair enough.
Domestically he’s won a few trophys eg for Man Utd, but that’s predominantly against the dross outside the top 4 of the prem league.
As regards England, nobody, never mind Beckham has done anything for English football in 44 years, never won anything and from the garbage I watch playing for England ( Rooney aside) won’t for a long time either. -

Dont kid yourself,he was brilliant against greece a few yrs back, possibly the finest performance ive seen in a england shirt, but thats all in the past, all he is/was interested in is getting the record caps, massive merchandising chance there.

Yep my thoughts also, the papers will give it the great motivation for us to get nowhere as usual because they are paid too much dosh but more importantly they are NOT hungry enough for it ~think
