Des Shipp Hooklength video – help!

  I am looking for a link to Des on tight lines demonstrating how to use sensas loop tyer and preston hooklength box. Tried and failed in the pub last night to explain with pen and paper. Can anyone oblige?

  We learn’t how to do the same thing a lot easier after seeing tight lines but possibility it was Alan Scotthorne which may help your search.
  The loop tyer can be used with one loop as a starting point or two loops as in the footage which we found easier to keep an accurate length.
  Also having having a board with pins/tacks a cm or so closer than the preston retainer distance helps in the process of taking the initial folded loop off whilst still having some “stretch” left to hold inside the wallet.The preston box itself has its own the same length as the retainers which work fine if you are careful to avoid slippage.
  Will attempt to describe if required but to see someone like Alan do it would deffo be best.If not may be able to send you some footage or even talk you through it on phone .Best way is if you or mates can watch someone in person do it then after couple of your own goes you’ll wonder what all the fuss was about.
  Sorry if no direct help but its not long since we crossed the same bridge and it has made prearation a lot neater.
