Interesting. Daiwa advise X45 wrapping on 9, 10 and 11 sections to create anti-compression zones.
What have they done to the 5 and 6?
Also interesting to read that the Airity now weighs more than the Tourney Pro X at all lengths. Have they applied further wraps of carbon to the Airity to strengthen.
Also the difference in price between Tourney Pro and Airity is very little at many outlets now.
I’m still holding off buying a new pole as trying to decipher the amount of bullsh*t on web sites and general lack of information from manufacturers makes the whole process a general ball ache.
The only way to truly decide is fish with the weapon of choice. Not easy done.
I currently use the original Tourney Pro and would happily stay with Daiwa if I could get an understanding of how their top range poles truly compare in strength, balance, stiffness and reaction rates.
