TF_Ray SI have had one for just over a month and I think its superb. Very stable and far more storage space than it first appears. So far I haven’t used any of the winder trays just the 2 side drawer unit and the front drawer unit. These 2 units also incorporate 2 winder trays. It is also considerably lighter than some of the other boxes on the market. The amount of trays etc. included with the box and the wheel kit make it very good value for money. I got a really good deal buying it at the ‘Big One’ but even at £525 as advertised at lots of places I would say its well worth the money.
All the leg fixings are really easy to adjust and it seems to be really well made. The only issue with it I have found is that if you carry it using the strap, if you jolt it the drawers can fall out (at least ones that are loaded with reasonably heavy bits and pieces). To get round this I have ordered a seatbox cover from this site today. The sprung clips for the units work well but it remains to be seen how well these last.
The trolley kit is also really good and I have been surprised how light it is to push even with a heavily loaded bait bag.

TF_macca63I pre-ordered one of these before Christmas and received it about 3 months ago and I’m really pleased with it. The box has ample room in the cassette to take a plethora of rigs and also a couple of trays under the seat, I have around 200 winders accommodated easily [you get 50 Daiwa winders with the box but the rest I just utilised my Fox ones from my old MSB box] so enough to cover any eventuality.
The spring loaded clips are easy to operate and open and close easily, the trays have a slim 20mm profile rather than wasting space on 30mm ones like on some boxes. The legs are 25mm so no paying silly prices for accessories to fit it. The wheel kit is easy to fit and transport so no messing about with a trolley so takes up less room in the car.
The box comes with a double slim side drawer unit and another unit with a deep front drawer, the latter currently kept in the garage with all my feeders in. I wasn’t happy with the fact that there was no way of dividing up the drawers so I purchased some of the Rive 30mm drawer dividers which fit perfectly and solve the problem. Overall I’m happy with my purchase and would recommend it as when you consider the cost of a Rive with a similar number of trays, winders and accessories to fit you are looking at 4 times the cost of what the Daiwa costs.

TF_macca63Here’s how I did it. I decided which divider I needed at the front of the drawer, working from the middle of the drawer place one end of the divider into the sponge then pull the metal of the drawer apart both sides until you can force the divider in then slide it to the front, repeat it for the second divider then for the third and fourth work from the middle towards the back. I left the sponge in to be honest.

TF_macca63Dudley, no mate only 4 the other one I stuck in the other drawer. If you look at the structure of the drawers the metal is folded over round the sides, the Rive drawers aren’t configured like that hence why they can fit all 5

TF_macca63Well six months into my Daiwa 500 seat box and I’ve finally sold it due to the fact that I just couldn’t get on with it any longer – glad to see the back of it to be honest.
I’ve had a number of gripes with the box biggest being the flimsy catches, fed up of them pinging open when sat on the box and moving about. The seat is also uncomfortable and due to this ended up with a bad back. The paint on the frame chips off easily especially round the welds and the badges also fall off due to the poor quality glue used to hold them on .
The trays due to their slim profile cannot take floats over 1.5 gram unless you put them in specific areas of the box i.e. under the lid or in the top unit. The handles keep slipping off the legs when using the wheel kit which you have to use due to the weight – its VERY heavy for a 25mm leg box. Now gone onto a Rive D36 and its actually LIGHTER and more comfortable, my back issue is no more. Not my best tackle purchase

TF_carpmagicParticipantYou can get all 5 in without too much of a problem, the rive inserts that is. As has been said work from the middle and then go outwards. The inserts slide under the folded metal ends.
