Steve Greaves won Docklow’s winter classic today. The competition started back in October and fished every Sunday since. The top 20 anglers on points over that period (best 8 results) fished on the Match pool at Docklow. All had hoped for better weather but the snow and wind put pay to that. Yet spirits weren’t dampened. Steve and others have competed against professional anglers such as Lee Edwards of Prestons Innovations and Les Thompson, so the standard was high and very competitive.

Steve Greaves of Bury, Lancashire wins £1000 and spoke after “I’m delighted. Its been a fantastic competition, with some tough opposition. Its been hard today, but its fished great over the winter. I’m thrilled to have won. I cant wait to tell the wife”
