Cannot see how it would help in the 2nd hand market as someone can sell something to someone who sells it to someone else etc and you are trusting these people to keep accurate personal records. The supplier wouldn’t be able to trace the whole trail of every section.
For new poles it would increase the cost as the administration of it all (EVERY section)would mount up. If you buy new you will have rights as a consumer for anything proving to be faulty anyway so it’s not a problem. You are already protected.
Don’t buy from dealers you think might be dodgy.
I think it’s a minor issue (if at all) and not worth the effort.
