Day two was the floating line only event and still turned in a good result in the bright sunshine. Through the week the fish have been very close to the surface taking buzzer, diawl bach, dries and blobs. Although towards the end of the week the bright sun put them a little lower.

The bank has again turned in some good results at the Cornfield and Toft Bay. Just to different though, Mr Ray Cramp of Coventry went to the opposite end and took five for 17lbs 12ozs at Draycote Dam all to the Black Buzzer.

Boats have done well at Rainbow Corner, Dunn’s Bay and Toft Bay. Mr John Hoskins of Bromsgrove took the week’s best eight fish limit for 28lbs 3ozs, Mr Steve Bride of North Wales weighed in with 27lbs 8ozs and there was 26lbs 1ozs to Mr Duncan Millar, 23lbs 6ozs to Mr Tom Jones of Coventry, 24lbs 00ozs to Mr Andy Taylor and 23lbs 13ozs to Mr Rod Wilson of Leicester.

Mr Ron Blackwell also of Leicester took a nice five fish bag weighing 19lbs 11ozs and Mr Paul Walker of Derby weighed in five for 19lbs 4ozs..

Best rainbow of the week was 6lbs 14ozs to Mr D Baker of Worcester and Mr Steve Conway of Nuneaton took one at 6lbs 5ozs.

The 4lbs 00ozs brown was taken By Nottingham bank angler Mr Adrian Brown. Adrian had tried to return the fish, but in the end he had to dispatch it.
