After the recent floods will they go to town on dredging now, and will it spoil your river from a fishing perspective ?

No because they rarely dredge too deep because the length of the arm doesn’t go down that far . They did however wreck the gravel spawning beds at Twyford in the 1980s They stripped the gravel from the river around the pegs 100 and upstream . The chub and dace fishing definitely declined on this stretch after that .I was there !!! But look you are on an absolute loser even thinking about it because the river they said needed dredging in this spot for boats !!! We were not consulted ! They Pollard every frigin willow tree along stretches of river that give refuge to all fish specially chub ! They could butcher every other tree but it’s not cost effective !! They even have the cheek to use our money to restock fish allegedly then re introduce bloody otters to eat them!!! At this moment while I rant there are at least 28 cormorants roosting on the island at arrow valley in redditch . But the council and joe public think it’s all ok We all must join the angling trust . It ain’t perfect but it’s our ONLY chance to enter the politics because if you don’t we WILL NOT BE CONSULTED….!!!! 😮 😮 😮

Good debate on Jeremy Vine this afternoon Paul, Lord Smith the chairman of the EA was getting a grilling for not dredging but in true political style he passed the book back to the government over funding !
