Had a good go of one today up to 14.5m, very impressed. Really stiff and not noticeably heavy. If you have no need for to fish 16m then this pole should be near the top of your list !

14.5m is also, probably, all most would need due to it’s actual length. I bet some companies would call it 16m !!

What tops did you use ? The normal ones or the double ones with the extra joint ? Notice any difference ?

I used the normal tops, I have an airity and this would defiantly push it for stiffness at 14.5. This weekend if I can I will try and match them up.

a previous post mentions the drennan pole not sure if it’s the carp pole but he called it the crackolot 😮 and got rid of fast!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Apparently even the rods have had problems according to some posters 🙁 however I dare say Drennan will sort it out

I’ve had no problems with my Acolyte at all and I don’t know anybody that has. A lot of it rumours.

I’ve never had a problem with my Acolyte pole and it’s had some fair abuse. Only problems I’ve ever heard of with them is from people who haven’t got one nor have ever used one…… Just heard from a mate!
