Once you have set your pole rest at a cetain height for those that use them how frequently do you really have to adjust it ? An electronic adjusting pole roler would be more usefull

Well thats just your opinion from ONE disabled anglers point of view.Depends on the persons disability.

totally pointless, a bump bar is height adjustable- and so are your knees and arms-and a darn sight quicker.

                                Staffie,

Please explain how in your opinion it would help a disabled angler.

Considering the angler has to reach forward and down to operate the device, I see no benefits.

As you say it is only one persons view, but I don’t see anyone else thinking it would be helpful.

Engineering wise it looks a sound device. In practice though I fear its got a very limited market and the inventor may never see a significant return on his/her investment.

There was a foot operated bump bar out a few years ago that was supposed to revolutionise pole fishing by enabling you to ‘strike’ without lifting your leg. It was basically a pivoted bump bar that lifted as you pressed down with your foot…where’s that gone?

Firstly whos saying the ANGLER as you put it is fishing alone?? The angler may be with a carer/friend so the angler DOESNT need to reach forward and down to operate the device at all, secondly do you know how many of these devices have or havnt been sold?? i doubt it.How do you know that know one else is interested in the product just because your not??? Just because you dont like the product DOESNT mean its useless, yes thats your opinion but you cant speak for everyone.I was just casting my opinion saying i think it would be a good idea from a disabled anglers point of view, there are many forms of disabilities not just yours.

Cutnut I remember that foot operated bump bar that concept was a good invention didnt Roger Surgay invent it ? I think the thing the put the dampners on that was lighter pole were quickly becoming more accessable to everyone.

At no point did I class the product as useless, please read my post.

I also did say it was just my opinion as a disabled angler.

All said and done I don’t think you will see many people useing the device.

Again IMHO Nick Palmers Clever Claw is of far more benefit.

There again, what would I know ??
